US 65 begins in southern Minnesota and heads south through central Iowa and Missouri, passing through Des Moines, Springfield, and Branson. In Arkansas, US 65 heads southeast through Little Rock and Pine Bluff as it heads toward the Mississippi River. It follows the river to Louisiana, where it ends in the small town of Clayton.

We traveled US 65 from end to end in August 2026, taking these photographs along the way.
