Woodbury

Woodbury

The current Port Jervis Line runs across the bridge above, but at one time there was also a lower bridge crossing the road here. That lower line had a stop in Woodbury which was likely somewhere in this area. I didn't see any sign of an old station though.

I received some additional information on this one from Matt Restivo. The station was exactly where the highway runs beneath the current trestle. When they relocated the highway there was some substantial excavation done so the current roadbed is considerably lower than the station was. The highway used to run under the leg of the trestle on the lefthand side of the photo, between the piers if you can believe that, then it went underneath the lower bridge which would be behind the trestle leg in the photo.
