Between Anchorage and Girdwood

We depart Anchorage to the west but then immediately turn southwest and follow the coast.

The spur to the airport departs to the west.

Following the tracks back north.

Our train passes Coastal.

Looking south and then north again, we pass a cluster of homes with airplanes and a small grass airstrip.

As we leave Anchorage to the south we find ourselves with the Turnagain Arm on one side and Alaska Route 1 on the other.
